Brenda Fields
Brenda Fields loves hotels and is a passionate industry leader. She was named by HSMAI (Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International) as a “Top 25 Extraordinary Mind in Sales & Marketing”. In addition, Brenda was recruited into International Society of Hospitality Consultants (ISHC), a by-invitation only, 200-member professional society, where she was a long-time constituent.
Leveraging a successful career in senior marketing positions, Brenda established her consulting practice. She has consulted for a wide range of hotels, resorts, and hotel companies around the world, including five-star, luxury boutique properties, 2,000 room hotels and conference centers, as well as some of the largest real estate development companies in the U.S. There is no project that is too small or too large for Brenda to enthusiastically take on.
At the onset of her career, Brenda joined the hospitality industry visionary, family-owned, Dunfey Hotels, at the renowned Ambassador East in Chicago, IL. Her work ethic and love of her job, generated client loyalty and great business. After several moves with the company, she was awarded the Director of Marketing role at Berkshire Place in New York City. The systems Dunfey Hotels had pioneered have provided the format on which any problem can be resolved regardless of market conditions or product type.
Brenda went on to work with one of first developers of the boutique hotel, Ian Schrager, who has described Brenda as “… one of the smartest marketing people I have known”. She also served as Vice President of Marketing for Harry Macklowe, real estate developer, for his hotel and 100,000 square foot conference center, which was the first in New York City.
She is passionate about applying fresh thinking to every project and her experience has proven that there is no challenge, great or small, without a cost-effective solution.
As a native of Western Kentucky and a graduate of Murray State University, Brenda brings a warmth and small-town-feel to all of her interactions. While a long time resident of New York City, Brenda enjoyed the pace and complexity of the city. And now has with a love and respect for rural living! Brenda resides in Dutchess County, New York in a historic home dating back to 1790.
